Graduate Trainee – Accounts and Payroll

Leicester

Monday to Friday – Full Time

£18,000 per annum

Four Squared Recruitment are supporting a fantastic business in Leicester with the recruitment of a Graduate Trainee – Accounts and Payroll. This is a permanent role based in the office that comes with excellent benefits including a self-study fully funded training and examination package will be provided for the ACCA qualification to Chartered status. You will be providing a quality support service within the accounts department.

Key Responsibilities include (while not being limited to) the following:

  • Overall focus of the role will be to process financial and client account transactions
  • Record financial transactions within the sales, purchase, and nominal accounts
  • Process sales invoices
  • Produce bank, purchase, and sales ledger reconciliations
  • Arrange the payment of purchase invoices for the company
  • Credit control
  • Reconciliation and posting of commission for the business and of the commissions bank account
  • Facilitating the movement of clients’ monies to ensure compliance with CASS rules for SSAS, SIPP and Investment transactions
  • Posting daily client transactions onto SAGE accounts
  • Production of daily client account reconciliations
  • Production of monthly client account reconciliations
  • All associated filing to include bank statements, purchase invoices, payroll etc

The ideal person will have;

  • Be qualified to degree level 2:1 minimum
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and professional connections
  • Ability to operate an effective diary / filing system
  • Numeracy skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate paper and computer based records
  • Able to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail

It would be desirable to have the following;

  • Knowledge / experience using SAGE accounts / Payroll
  • Knowledge / experience of the financial environment / commission
  • Good, broad, knowledge of financial services in general
