Purchase Ledger Clerk

Four Squared Recruitment are delighted to be working with a Worcester based Engineering company to recruit for a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a full time, permanent basis.

Reporting to: Management Accountant

Overview – Experience working in a financial control environment and able to demonstrate understanding of accounting issues.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Entering and matching delivery tickets
  • Processing invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Preparing and running BACS payments for purchase ledger and sub-contractors
  • Processing staff expenses
  • Scanning and documenting invoices
  • Liaise with site managers, emailing out reports/chasing for information from site managers
  • Liaising with the buying team
  • Ensure high level of accuracy of input and coding
  • Building strong relations with our suppliers

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Relevant experience in a Purchase Ledger role
  • AAT qualification would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of software packages like Excel, Sage and BACS
  • Highly numerate with high degree of accuracy
  • High level of capability in math’s
  • Organised and methodical
  • Strong interpersonal communication and teamworking skills
