£22 – 28k + bonus based on company profit

Four Squared recruitment are delighted to be working with an established Financial Planning organisation to recruit for an SIPP Account Executive on a full or part time, permanent basis.The overall focus of the role will be to manage a portfolio of clients with Self Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs), the main tasks being to:

Administration tasks

  • Set up new SIPPS in a timely fashion, using a diary system, and submit information pack and assist the Suitability Team to aid preparation of associated Suitability Reports
  • Effect transfers into SIPPs and provide the Suitability team with information pack to aid preparation of Suitability Report.
  • Prepare for client meetings Annual Review Packs, including Annual Statements
  • Carry out the renewals of SIPP arrangements.
  • Invoice clients in accordance with Client Agreements
  • Oversee and provide guidance in respect of property purchase / sales and borrowing, including Leases and Renewal Leases, Property funding calculations, review of legal documents, borrowing calculations and preparing Loan Agreements, supporting Property Manager with queries in relation to rental income, an understanding of what property related invoices can be paid by a SIPP
  • Providing VAT Information to accountants for the completion of VAT Return
  • Process claims arising from death and illness, including the calculation of final remuneration and benefits payable
  • Process retirement claims – obtain comparative figures, process retirees’ pensions on the open market to provide the best benefits and help Suitability Team prepare the associated Suitability Reports
  • Provide BCE statements and other required confirmation to client
  • Monitor client accounts, in particular with the payment of pensions
  • Maintain a diary confirming the date of any drawdown anniversaries, rent reviews, lease expiry etc
  • Obtain plan valuations for the purposes of income drawdown calculations
  • Maintain accurate records, using software available (Omni, Virtual Cabinet, Excel, Adviser Office)
  • Process changes to SIPP records.
  • Produce bespoke Documents
  • Carry out other routine administration tasks and deal with client queries within field of expertise / range of authorisation
  • Provide CPC to client where necessary
  • Provide cancellation rights to client, where necessary

Calculations

  • Calculate maximum contributions allowable
  • Calculate maximum borrowing
  • Calculate tax free cash, and maximum income withdrawals
  • Calculate death benefits
  • Calculate retirement benefits
  • Perform sundry other calculations

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential

  • Educated to A level standard (or equivalent) as a minimum.
  • To be willing to obtain CII Award/Certificate/Diploma Units (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a SIPP client servicing and administration role

Desirable

  • To hold CII Award/Certificate/Diploma units (or equivalent)
  • Other Financial services experience, in a similar role, ideally for a Financial Adviser firm.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of the services that the firm provides to clients
  • Knowledge of the SIPP and associated products.
  • Good technical knowledge of SIPPs and their use in financial planning
  • Knowledge of other financial services legislation relevant to role
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, actuaries, accountants, Pension Trustees, HMRC and other professional connections via various methods – phone, letter, e-mail, memo, etc
  • Knowledge of in-house money laundering procedures relevant to role and individual responsibilities in this area
  • Knowledge of Data Protection legislation relevant to role
  • Knowledge of IT systems and programmes relevant to role
  • Ability to work within level of authority and to refer work when appropriate
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate computer-based records
