National Sales Manager – Contract Division

Location: East Midlands

We are the largest supplier of stone tabletops in the UK, specializing in providing high-quality stone components to furniture companies. Our products are integral to many well-known establishments in the restaurant, cafe, and hotel industries, including The Ivy, Pizza Express, and Caffe Nero.

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced National Sales Manager to lead our Contract Division. The role requires a balanced approach, with a 50/50 split between office-based activities and on-the-road client interactions. This is a strategic position that combines quoting, problem-solving, and business development to drive growth in identified sectors of the furniture market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership – Manage and oversee the sales operations of the Contract Division, ensuring targets are met and exceeded.
  • Client Engagement – Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and develop new business opportunities within the furniture industry.
  • Quoting and Negotiation – Prepare and present quotes, negotiate contracts, and close sales with clients in the restaurant, cafe, and hotel trades.
  • Market Development – Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in new sectors of the furniture market.
  • Problem-Solving – Address and resolve client issues, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic Planning – Develop and implement sales strategies to drive market penetration and revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably within the stone industry or related fields.
  • Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and planning skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Flexibility to split time between office duties and travel.
