Are you ready to play a pivotal role in our dynamic manufacturing environment? We’re seeking a Senior Production Planner to join a dedicated Planning and Manufacturing Team. As the heartbeat of our operations, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring smooth production processes and exceeding customer expectations.

Overview: As a Senior Production Planner, you’ll be at the forefront of creating, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules for our Lye press, Lye CNC, and RD3 departments. Your keen eye for detail and strategic planning will ensure seamless execution of customer orders while maximizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.

Reporting to: Planning Manager

Hours: 7:00am to 4:00pm (Mon-Thurs), 7:00am to 1:00pm (Fri)

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Planning Manager to understand customer requirements and provide accurate lead times for upcoming projects.
  • Skilfully predict project durations and departmental breakdowns, ensuring alignment with capacity and customer demands.
  • Attend and contribute to daily production meetings, offering insights for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
  • Proactively monitor project progress, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise to ensure On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery.
  • Act swiftly to troubleshoot production obstacles, such as staff shortages or machinery breakdowns, maintaining operational continuity.
  • Efficiently organize paperwork, including purchase orders, timesheets, and customer orders, while maintaining meticulous records.
  • Analyse daily and monthly performance data, providing valuable insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct monthly stock assessments to guarantee fulfilment of customer orders.
  • Provide backup support for colleagues when needed and adhere to company health and safety policies.
  • Champion lean manufacturing principles and assist in resolving customer concerns with agility and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing planning, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Sage 200, Trello, and other relevant software.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Outstanding management and communication skills, fostering positive working relationships.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in all endeavours.
