System Engineer
Worcester (Onsite)
Salary- £35,000 – £55,000 (Depending on experience)
We have partnered with a leading Vehicle Testing Solutions organisation to recruit an Application Engineer to join an innovative and exciting Engineering team based in Worcester.
You will play a role in driving innovation across the engineering team, programming PLC’s and Automation systems, and supporting the commissioning on customer sites across a esteemed client list.
The individual will be required on site throughout the week, and will be expected to commute to client sites across the UK and potentially Europe.
Required Capabilities:
- Solid understanding of Control SW/logic
- C++
- C#
- Vb
- Python
- Capability to work ground up on Automation components ranging from SW to HW design and implementation.
- Solid understanding of Mechanical/Electrical Design installations and fault finding
- 3+ Years Experience in comparable field
Requirements:
- PLC experience – Beckhoff/Twincat preferred but not critical
- Strong Understanding of SW and Automation packages
- Network Protocols – All beneficial none critical
- EtherCAT
- TCP/IP
- UDP
- Modbus
- AK
- CAN (FD, Flexray, CCP/XCP, LIN)
- Experience of Electrical/Pneumatic/Hydraulic Commissioning
- Version Control (GIT)
- UI Design
- Good knowledge of PC HW build/specification – beneficial not critical
Job Role
- SW applications design and implementation and documentation
- Programming of PLC’s and Automation systems
- Support of commissioning on customer sites
- Ranging from small upgrades to full facility installation and Commissioning
- Customer Support remote and on Customers site
- In House HW Test
- In house SW Test
- Fault finding /diagnosis of HW/SW
- Electrical System Design/Oversight
- Safety Control Design/Oversight
- Documentation Control
- Significant travel possibilities including UK and International
