Corporate Tax Director
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Corporate Tax Director to join a growing accountancy firm in Worcestershire. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking to take the next step in their career and make a significant contribution to our firm’s success.
As a Corporate Tax Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing the tax team, providing high-quality tax advice to clients, and identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities. You will work closely with other departments in the firm, including audit, accounts and advisory, to ensure that our clients receive a comprehensive service that meets their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality tax advice to clients on a range of corporate tax issues, including mergers and acquisitions, group restructurings, and tax-efficient financing structures.
- Identify and implement tax planning opportunities for clients, taking into account their commercial objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the tax team, providing guidance and support to ensure that work is completed to a high standard, and deadlines are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering a high level of service.
- Work closely with other departments in the firm to ensure that clients receive a comprehensive service that meets their needs.
- Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and provide guidance and training to the team and clients where necessary.
Key Requirements:
- Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax law, including experience of advising on complex tax matters.
- ACA/CTA qualified or equivalent.
- Significant experience in a corporate tax role, ideally within a Big 4 or Top 10 accountancy firm.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive and commercial approach to problem-solving.
